  • Save up to 50% in operational costs and extend bag life with the MCF PowerSaver® Dust Collector. An integrated blower produces medium pressure air during the cleaning cycle which eliminates the need for compressed air in the filter. This frees up existing compressed air capacity for use in other processes, which reduces energy requirements and lowers overall costs. 

    The MCF is built to handle heavy dust loads including abrasive materials, and comes in configurations to fit most industrial air quality applications. With the patented Never Miss™ Controlled-Cleaning System, the MCF PowerSaver aligns the cleaning arm and bag segments, which positions the air nozzles to fire directly into the bags. No air is wasted, resulting in reduced energy consumption and extended filter bag life. 

    The MCF PowerSaver operates with medium pressure cleaning air (7-9 psig) and provides unrivaled cleaning capacities up to 250,000 CFM.  Additionally, the MCF PowerSaver handles extreme environments where temperatures can reach over 465˚ F (240˚ C).

    The new dust collector comes equipped with many time and cost savings features. 

    An easy-to-use cartridge clamp system simplifies replacement of the filter media minimizing maintenance time and lowering overall cost of operation.   The filter is also equipped with a smart timer which includes an on-board sensor that reads the pressure drop across the filtering elements for on demand cleaning.  This results in reduced compressed air consumption and greater cartridge life. A standard radial inlet allows for excellent material separation during moderate air volume applications while the optional high entry inlet with a pre-separation chamber is designed for optimal performance in high volume systems. The chamber separates the largest powder particles safeguarding the media from excess loads of pollutants and guaranteeing longer media life.

    A robust design adds to the overall stability of the filter.    Each unit is constructed with reinforced carbon steel that is rated for 6.4 psi Pred.    The VCF has also been Pred validated through a full scale third party explosion test.   Explosion mitigation devices are also available with the new VCF.

  • As the cost of energy continues to increase, plant managers are continually looking for ways to reduce power consumption. Within the Schenck Process dust collection portfolio is the unique MCF PowerSaver®, a filter that can save up to 50% of operational costs by using medium pressure air for the cleaning cycle.   • The SpaceSaver Dust Collector is a low profile, compact filter which is ideal for installations where there is a need for high efficiency dust collection, but has limited footprint space or headroom and also for areas that are not easily connected to central dust collection systems. It is designed to handle a range of air volumes from approximately 850 to 25,000 m³/hr., dependent on the type of dust and the number of modules employed. The cartridges installed in the SpaceSaver Dust Collector are oval and a narrow pleat type, with over 10m² of media being packed into a relatively small cartridge, therefore ensuring that the filter is as compact as possible.

    Design features of the SpaceSaver Dust Collector include:

    • The patented cleaning mechanism thoroughly pulses the cartridges using directed airflow.

    Operating principles

    Air pulse cleaning is more efficient and effective with MEGABond’s FixedPleat feature. The unique pleat spacing design allows for more systematic cleaning between the pleats of the media.
