 Press Releases

  • Winnipeg, MB — February 23, 2026AGI (Ag Growth International) today announced the launch of its new AGI Bucket Elevator, a system engineered to streamline routine and unplanned maintenance while improving safety. Faster access to high wear components reduces time spent on maintenance tasks, helping minimize downtime in commercial grain handling operations.

Unveiled at the GEAPS Exchange 2026, the new bucket elevator reflects direct input from operators and maintenance professionals responsible for servicing equipment day to day.

“When equipment is difficult to maintain, downtime is unavoidable,” says David Postill, Senior Vice President, North America, AGI. “Customers told us they needed faster, safer access to the components that wear the most. We built this bucket elevator for easier maintenance and keep facilities running.”

    Design enhancements include:

    • The bucket elevator head features multiple inspection doors and strategically placed access points that provide safe, fast access to critical components.
    • Rino shaft seals provide dust‑tight, abrasion‑resistant protection for bearings and drives, reducing maintenance.
    • A fully removable front head panel and discharge section provide outside access to high‑wear areas for faster liner or tile replacement, eliminating confined‑space entry.
    • External throat plate adjustment enables changes from outside the elevator, improving safety, reducing confined‑space entry, and simplifying routine maintenance.
    • Inspection trunking sections feature 9‑foot‑high, full‑width access for improved maintenance safety, allowing unobstructed access to both sides of the belt during inspection and service.
    • Designed with load‑bearing outer C‑channels, the boot utilizes fully removable, non‑load‑bearing panels to speed maintenance tasks and provide unobstructed access for pulley replacement.
    • AGI’s new patent-pending optional guided gravity take‑up mast bearings guide smooth vertical movement in matched channels, allowing free take‑up travel while maintaining consistent belt tension and improving tracking.
    • Engaged on demand with the gravity take-up system, the integrated screw take‑over maintains full‑load belt tension for reliable tracking and doubles as a built‑in service position for safe, controlled inspection and maintenance.

“The goal was to reduce the time required for routine and unplanned maintenance, while improving maintenance safety,” says Ashley Gierok, AGI Enterprise Sales Manager.

Engineered and manufactured in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the AGI Bucket Elevator is available in capacities ranging from 10,000 to 120,000 BPH with discharge heights exceeding 250 feet.

“Our engineering team focused on how maintenance work is actually performed,” says JaMall Wilson, AGI Global Design Manager. “Every access point, inspection door and wear surface was evaluated to make maintenance tasks more efficient.”

On display at GEAPS Exchange 2026
The new bucket elevator is being highlighted at the GEAPS Exchange (Feb. 22–24, 2026, Booth 804, in Kansas City, MO) within a grain flow display, demonstrating how AGI equipment moves material through a grain operation alongside conveying solutions from AGI brands including Tramco and Hi Roller, and CMC hazard monitoring sensors.
